Another made-up food holiday brings another free meal.

This time, it’s National Sandwich Day, which falls on Thursday. Two major chains will observe the “holiday” by handing out freebies.

At Subway, you can enjoy a free sub with the purchase of any sub of equal or greater value and any drink. Additionally, Subway will donate money for one meal to the nonprofit Feeding America.

Subway locations nationwide are participating in this promotion. Visit the chain’s website to search for a location near you.

At Schlotzsky’s, you can enjoy a free medium sandwich with the purchase of any medium sandwich of equal or greater value. This promotion includes Schlotzsky’s seven new specialty sandwiches.

Schlotzsky’s has locations in 35 states. Visit the chain’s website to search for a location near you.

If you plan to head to either sandwich shop for free food Thursday, you may want to call ahead to your local restaurant to confirm the location is participating in the National Sandwich Day promotions.
