Two cash-back portals are running great deals that can save you money today.
On Tuesday, TopCashBack will “boost” cash back you earn by 20 percent. Starting Tuesday, Ebates is doubling the amount of cash back it usually offers for certain retailers.
These websites are what’s known as “cash-back portals.” By doing your online shopping through them, you’ll earn cash back — during these promotions and in the future — on purchases from thousands of retailers that partner with TopCashBack or Ebates.
I made more than $100 using cash-back portals last year.
There is no “catch.” TopCashBack and Ebates receive a commission from retailers for referring online shoppers to those retailers’ websites. Then, they share that commission with shoppers to encourage them to continue using TopCashBack or Ebates — a win-win.
TopCashBack is offering a 20 percent “boost” on any cash back you earn through its website on Tuesday. So if you made $10 in cash back, TopCashBack would give you $12.
Here’s how it’s explained in a company blog post:
A “Top Up” has already been applied to most cash back rates found on our site, so all you have to do is log in to your TopCashback account and shop! Make sure you clear your cookies and cache beforehand…
Select retailers that partner with Ebates are offering twice as much cash back this week as they usually do.
As of Tuesday morning, some 20 major retailers were participating. They include:
- Amazon: Up to 10 percent cash back (See also “10 Strategies to Save Big Bucks on Amazon.”)
- Bon-Ton department store: 4 percent
- BareMinerals cosmetics: 8 percent
- Godiva Chocolatier: 8 percent
- Kohl’s: 6 percent (See also “10 Expert Tips for Saving More at Kohl’s.”)
- ShoeBuy: 12 percent (Note that ShoeBuy is among 33 retailers that always offer free shipping with no minimum purchase requirement.)
- Ulta Beauty: 6 percent
