OIL: Billions of barrels of untapped U.S. oil
In North Dakota, a new source of oil may produce up to a million barrels per day — but getting it out requires a controversial process. “Many fear oil, gas or fracking chemicals could migrate up to the water supply,” CNN Money reports, adding that “many water wells have already been contaminated.”

That $58k price tag is for the base model, which “will have a driving range of 160 miles,” CNN Money reports, but you can upgrade for “about $20,000 more” to a model that goes twice as far on one charge.
