Every week, I study 1,000 deal-touting emails from major companies. Most aren’t worth your time, but a handful offer worthwhile coupons, codes, and sales – those are the ones I collect for you here and display in a deal-seeker-friendly format.

Arts and crafts

Crayola: Buy-one-get-one-free crayons and markers at Toys R Us in stores and online [7/9].

Michaels: 20 percent off a purchase of full- and/or sale-price items in stores (printable coupons) [7/9].

Hobby Lobby: 40 percent off one full-price item in stores (printable coupon) or online (coupon code 5092) [7/9]. While you can only apply this coupon to one item, it’s not limited to one use: The fine print says it’s “valid for 1 order, per day, per customer.” So if you’re buying two items, you can always go back another day for the second.

By the way, both Michaels and Hobby Lobby sell home decor too, so their coupons can be used toward more than just arts and crafts.

For the home

Free portrait collage: In Sears portrait studios (printable coupon) [9/30]. Yes, that’s a completely free $45 collage – no purchase necessary, no session fee – so be sure to print the coupon now because it probably won’t last.

Kirkland’s (home decor): $10 off a $50-plus purchase in stores (printable coupon) [7/10].

Mattresses: 50 off select mattresses at Sears online [7/9]. They don’t say whether this discount is also available in stores, but Sears has a 30-Day Comfort Guarantee that allows you to try out your new mattress at home and return it if you’re unhappy with it.

Toys, games, and electronics

Build-a-Bear Workshop: $6 off when you buy two select stuffed animals in stores or online (promo code 96461) [7/10].

GameStop: Extra $25 in-store credit on any Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, 3DS, DS, or PSP system traded in in stores [7/10]. This isn’t good on cash trades, though.

Cost Plus World Market: 20 percent off select games and puzzles in stores and online [7/10].

VTech electronic learning toys: $10 off when you buy a VTech system and storage case at Amazon.com [7/17]. Four different systems and four different cases qualify for this deal.

Nerf Super Soaker Quick Blast water gun: 66 percent off at Hasbro online [7/17].

Italian food

Cici’s Pizza: Free buffet meal for kids age 10 and under with purchase of an adult meal, or a free adult buffet meal with purchase of an adult meal and two drinks (two printable coupons) [7/10]. Note that these two coupons cannot be used together.

Maggiano’s Little Italy: $2 off any one of their “Little Italy favorites” (printable coupon) [8/3].

And more…

JCPenney: $10 off a $50-plus purchase in stores (printable coupon) [7/10].

Free lunch kit: When you buy a $12.99-plus backpack at Toys R Us (or Babies R Us) stores or online [7/9]. If you shop online, you must add the free lunch kit you want (it can be up to $9.99 but excludes VTech, V.Reader backpacks, and Yoshi & Mario 3D plush backpacks) to your e-cart after adding the backpack you’re buying.
