Today’s Deals: Paper, Clothes, and Free Stickers

By on

I subscribe to the promotional emails of hundreds of companies so you don’t have to. I sift through 1,000 deal-touting emails every week. Most are worthless. But some offer valuable coupons, promo codes, sales, and freebies – which I collect and organize here and on our Deals page.

Note: Expiration dates are in brackets.

Auto

  • Free bumper stickers: The Democratic National Committee (“Not a Republican“) and Republican National Committee (“NObama“) are giving away free bumper stickers [expiration unknown]. If you request one, I suggest providing a fake phone number and fake email. I wouldn’t put it past either party to take the opportunity to bombard your phone or inbox. (They may bombard your physical mailbox too, but you can’t prevent that: Unlike your email address and cell phone number, your address is public record. Plus, snail-mail solicitations are less obtrusive.)

Home

  • 7-piece comforter set: 60 percent off at Linens ‘n Things online [expiration unknown]. Instead of $150, the set is $60.
  • Eco-friendly supplies: Target is offering $50 in coupons for eco-friendly cleaners, water filters, and other “green” products for Earth Day, which is Sunday [4/21].

Office and school supplies

  • Printer paper: 10-case reams are buy-two-get-one free at Staples stores (print first) [4/21].
  • Office Depot: $20 off a $100-plus purchase in stores (print first) and online (use coupon code) [4/23].
  • Staples: Their Dollar Days deals are going on this week, so check your local weekly ad to find out which basics, like pencils and notepads, are on sale for $1 [4/21].

Personal care

  • CVS: 25 percent off everything online (use code 25DEAL) [4/22]. Unlike most CVS deals, there’s no minimum purchase requirement. Shipping is free if you spend $49.

Technology

  • 16GB flash drive (SanDisk Cruzer): Marked down to $13 at Staples stores (print first) and online (use code) [4/21]. That’s an outstanding price per gigabyte for a flash drive, and that cap-less model is very popular. If you need a flash drive, I’d pounce on this.
  • Headphones: 40 to 80 percent off select models at Amazon.com [expiration unknown].

Clothing, shoes, and accessories

  • Maternity clothing: Clearance-priced items are now also buy-one-get-one-free at A Pea in the Pod online [4/18].
  • Message T-shirts (for younger adults): 30 percent off at BustedTees.com (use code DIRTY30) [expiration unknown].
  • Hoodies (for younger adults): 30 percent off at BustedTees.com (use code DIRTY30) [expiration unknown].
  • Sandals (for her): $10 off at Loft stores and online [expiration unknown]. Instead of $30, they’re $20.

Comments & discussion

We welcome your opinions, but let’s keep it civil. Like many businesses, we reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. In our case, that means those who communicate by name-calling, racism, using words designed to hurt others or generally acting like an uninformed bully. Also, comments that include links to email addresses or commercial websites typically aren't posted. This isn't a place to advertise your business.
