I subscribe to the promotional emails of hundreds of companies so you don’t have to. I sift through 1,000 deal-touting emails every week. Most are worthless. But some offer valuable coupons, promo codes, sales, and freebies – which I collect and organize here and on our deals page.

  • Mimi’s Cafe: Free lunch or dinner entree with the purchase of one entree and two drinks (print first) [9/21].
  • Souper Salad: $5.50 buffet (print first) [9/20]. Note that this coupon is good for everyone in your party and can be reused.
  • Long John Silver: Free piece of whitefish with any purchase if you talk or dress like a pirate today, which is Talk Like a Pirate Day [9/19 only].
  • And while you’re out, don’t forget to pick up your free Krispy Kreme doughnut today, mateys.

Halloween

  • Halloween costumes (for kids): $5 off at Toys R Us stores (print first) [9/20].

  • Printer paper: Free 10-ream case with the purchase of one case at Staples stores (print first) [9/22]. According to their website, this product usually sells for $50, so you’re getting them for $25 each – a nearly unbeatable price.
  • Teaching flash cards: 50 percent off at Staples stores (print first) [9/22].
  • iPad cases and stands: At least 37 percent off at Amazon.com [expiration unknown].

Personal care

  • Face wash: $2 off Neutrogena’s new ultra gentle daily cleanser (print first) [10/13].
  • Neutrogena products: $3.50 off their new ultra gentle daily cleanser and ultra gentle soothing lotion or cream (print first) [10/13].

Clothing, shoes, and accessories

  • Outerwear and blazers (for the whole family): Up to 60 percent off at L.L. Bean online [expiration unknown]. That may be the lowest you see prices drop on coats before fall arrives – and shipping is free, as always.
  • Diamond engagement rings: Up to 50 percent off at Amazon.com [expiration unknown].
