After months of talk, the election is finally here. On Tuesday, polling places across the country will open for Americans to vote in person for their favorite candidates for federal, state and local offices.

To celebrate the day, several chains are offering free food to voters, poll workers and other guests. Here are five free food offers available on Election Day.

Note: Before heading out, consider calling ahead to confirm that locations in your area are participating in these offers.

For more freebies you can score right now, check out Money Talks News’ freebies page.

Krispy Kreme

Sweeten your day with a free Original Glazed Doughnut from Krispy Kreme. The chain will also be handing out “I voted” stickers for voters who did not receive one at the polls or who voted by mail.

Locations: Visit Krispy Kreme’s location search webpage.

Boston Market

Election Day coincides with National Sandwich Day, and Boston Market is offering all guests one free slider after the polls close — that is, from 9 p.m. until restaurants close, which is midnight or later in some areas.

Locations: Visit Boston Market’s locations page.

Pizza to the Polls

If you’re stuck in a long line on Election Day, you may find yourself receiving some free snacks or drinks from brands such as Shake Shack and Milk Bar. Food trucks are being deployed to select cities nationwide to feed people while they wait to vote.

Locations: Trucks will be sent to polling places in select cities and where long lines are reported. Visit the Pizza to the Polls website for a list of targeted cities.

Chopt Creative Salad Co.

If you’re a badged poll worker, Chopt will give you a free meal, worth up to $15, on Election Day. Offer must be redeemed in store.

Locations: Visit the Chopt Salad website and click on “locations.” Restaurants are largely near the East Coast, though all locations are participating in this offer.

McDonald’s

Although not marketed as an Election Day promotion, you can get a free apple fritter, blueberry muffin or cinnamon roll on Tuesday when you purchase any size McCafe Premium Roast Coffee or Iced Coffee using the McDonald’s app. This offer can be redeemed once per day from Nov. 3 through Nov. 9.

Locations: Visit McDonald’s restaurant locator page.
