Airline CEO Calls Passenger Stupid

A passenger on British airline Ryanair demanded a fee refund. The CEO responded with curses and insults.

Here’s an airline you might want to avoid in the future: Ryanair.

ABC News reports British traveler Suzy McLeod had to pay 300 euros (about $380) to print boarding passes for her family of five’s flight. Ryanair expects passengers to print their own boarding passes – and charges 60 euros per person when they have to print them for you.

She complained on the company’s Facebook page, and half a million people “Liked” her post. But to add insult to injury, the airline’s CEO Michael O’Leary called her stupid.

“We think Mrs. McLeod should pay 60 euros [per person] for being so stupid,” O’Leary reportedly said. He then mocked her for not seeking out an Internet cafe or hotel room printer. According to the original report in The Telegraph, she was unable to print out the boarding passes for the returning flight of the family’s 15-day vacation because the website only lets you print two weeks in advance.

He then apparently added the British equivalent of flipping the bird. He’s quoted as saying, “To those who don’t [print passes], we say quite politely: ‘B***** off’.”
