I began writing in high school by interviewing rock bands in my hometown of Ventura, Calif. Since then, I've written for many music magazines and websites. After studying journalism at San Diego State University, I relocated to a small town in Montana near the land my family had homesteaded and became a newspaper reporter. I later spent six years in the state's capital as a crime reporter. I recently returned to my hometown with my dog and trusty sidekick, Stella.
