Jim Robinson Producer/Journalist

I've been in the broadcast news business for 11 years. My first stint at telling stories came in 1998 when I joined WBKP, in Michigan's Upper Peninsula as a reporter, producer and photographer. Before joining Money Talks News, I worked as South Florida's first "Mobile Journalist" for WFOR-TV (CBS4). There I shot on the most up-to-date HD equipment, wrote and reported for all the local newscasts. Before the move to South Florida, I worked as a reporter and photojournalist for WXMI-TV in Grand Rapids, Michigan. While at WXMI, I took on cold cases with a weekly franchise, "West Michigan's Most Wanted." I also reported general assignment news. When I was a younger journalist, I was lucky enough to have great mentors. I returned the favor as assistant instructor at the Connecticut School of Broadcast in Doral, FL, working closely with students as they launch careers in the broadcast industry. I also assisted at Florida International University working with students in the field of production and journalism. I'm proud of my work as a journalist because we're one of the only professions that fights for the rights of people who can't fight for themselves. And now I'm doing that with Stacy Johnson at Money Talks News as VP of Production. In my free time, I enjoy aviation, technology and spending time with my wife Diane and dog Lilly.
