A new survey from CouponCabin shows most people think it’s OK to be a frugal flirt:

More than one-quarter (26 percent) of U.S. adults report they have used a coupon on a first date, up from 18 percent who said the same last year. In addition, more than one-quarter (26 percent) said that they would have a positive reaction to their date using a coupon to help pay for a first date.

The survey involved 2,346 American adults, of whom 73 percent said using a coupon was not a turn-off. Similarly, 72 percent said coupon use is always smart and appropriate.

Another 12 percent said they would stay quiet about the coupon and tough it out but refuse a second date. Three percent would express they were offended, and one percent would storm out of the restaurant. (Ah, the one percent.)
