Woman’s Day just put out a funny collection of 11 real manufacturer’s warning labels. Apparently the companies that make some consumer products think we’re not very bright…

The other day I was about to heat up a ready-made pizza from BJs. Right after “Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees,” I was instructed to “Remove plastic wrap prior to putting pizza in oven.”

Whew, that was close!

Some manufacturer warning labels are so obvious, you can only conclude that they’re kidding. But in the life-is-stranger-than-fiction world in which we live, they’re not.

Woman’s Day just put together this list of 11 funny warning labels. Check it out and see which makes you laugh the hardest. (My favorite? The kids Superman costume with a tag that says, “Wearing of this garment does not enable you to fly.”)

And if that’s not enough, here’s another collection from, which includes the classic from Winnebago Motor Homes: “Don’t leave the driver’s seat while cruise control is set.”

What are the stupidest warning labels you’ve seen lately?

  • Well, I’m not surprised, how many times have you actually see on TV of newspapers that some naive women put a dog to dry up in the microwave? Or some guy burn his tongue after drinking hot pot of coffee in the coffee house?
And now how much money the companies had to pay off to this stupid people after suiting them in the court of law?
These labels just simply informing this silly people and also protecting the companies or retailers from big troubles all over again.
Wake up people, if you are smart enough these labels really does’t have to be there!!!!

  • “DANG!-that coffee was HOT!!!”-(duh!)

Alas, we live in a litigious society where even frivolous lawsuits are settled for big bucks; not on the merit of the case but the fact that it was cheaper for the defendant to settle out of court than to pursue the issue at trial.

So, do we continue to reward these morons (and their attorneys)?

Maybe the labels do offer a weak defense against injuries (and lawsuits). I agree with Jiri Kalab’s comments below:
“Wake up people, if you are smart enough (to read,) these labels really (do not) have to be (here)!!!

    So much for common sense.
