I thought I was reasonably on top of things, but when I recently cleaned out my closet and drawers, I donated bags of clothes, cut up some ragged jeans and made a bathroom rug out of the denim, and found I had MORE to wear than I thought, I had “forgotten” stuff, and I probably don’t need to buy another stitch of clothing for a year or more! Am pumped to do this in my kitchen, donating stuff that I don’t use and making more room, maybe selling some of the stuff. Want to do a massive garage sale this spring.

Great idea! I’m doing pretty much the same except for the garage sale. I don’t have a garage 🙂 The other things I do are to not buy convenience foods and make sure that I have a handle on wants vs needs.
