    Never use them. While the machine is washing your clothes, isn’t it washing itself too? This is just another ploy from companies to get you to spend money on stuff you don’t need.


    If you have a front loader they are sealed and if closed up they will get a mildew smell (so I’ve heard).

    What we do and my advice is to dry the door and any excess water from the seal area and leave the door open for 24 hours so it will air dry.

    We have done this since getting our front loader and have had NO issues with mildew or any odors and it’s been 5 years and counting.

    “Cleaners” are unnecessary if washer is properly cared for. But there are many cheaper home remedy’s to rid the washer of smells (if you get them). Just use Google or any search engine for tips.
