For most of November, donating blood to the Red Cross can add a little extra jingle to your wallet as you prepare for holiday shopping.

Until Nov. 23, those who donate blood, platelets or plasma through the American Red Cross will receive a free $10 Amazon gift card by email.

In addition, those who donate by Nov. 12 will be eligible to win a 10-day trip for two to Hawaii. This freebie includes round-trip airfare, hotel accommodations, 15 meals and a $1,000 gift card for expenses.

The Red Cross says this promotion is tied to the new Amazon Prime Video thriller series “I Know What You Did Last Summer,” which was filmed in Hawaii.

The nonprofit adds that it is encouraging people to donate to help boost blood supplies.

In recent weeks, the Red Cross has been facing an emergency blood shortage, with less than one day’s supply of certain blood types.

It notes that blood can take up to three days to be tested, processed and made available for patients. So, the organization wants to make sure it has blood on the shelves for emergencies when they happen.

To find a donation center near you, search at the Red Cross website.
