Flex your green thumb this month by grabbing either of two free seed offers.

The folks at Cheerios want you to get into the spring spirit by planting wildflowers. They are offering free wildflower seeds at the Cheerios website. Cheerios, which also is planting wildflowers on oat farms across the U.S., says, “We need the bees.” The goal is to provide habitat to help the threatened pollinators thrive.

Tasty Bite and AmpleHarvest.org have teamed up to offer 30,000 free packets of organic lettuce seeds. “The Good Seed” program simply asks that you agree to give some of your harvest to a local food pantry to help the many Americans who lack access to fresh vegetables.

The event is from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, March 4. Register at the Home Depot website.
