Gas Prices Dropping – in Some Places

The national average for gas right now is $3.78 per gallon. But the Associated Press reports many on the coasts aren’t seeing that number…

Motorists in California paid an average of $4.23 per gallon Wednesday. That’s 45 cents higher than the national average and exceeded only by Hawaii among the 50 states.

Prices in New York, Connecticut and New Hampshire are at or near highs for the year. They’re also about 40 cents higher than a year ago.

Meanwhile “Texas, the lower Midwest and parts of the South” are getting closer to $3.50 – a number the rest of us might see by Thanksgiving, according to oil analysts.
