Taco Bell once encouraged customers to “think outside the bun.” Now, it wants engaged couples to think outside the traditional church when saying “I do.”

The fast-food Mexican chain wants taco lovers to get hitched in the wedding chapel of its flagship cantina restaurant in Las Vegas. Taco Bell writes of its new $600 wedding package:

All you have to do is get your marriage license, visit the [Las Vegas cantina] restaurant in person this summer, walk up to the counter and order a wedding right off the menu.

The package includes a wedding ceremony, officiant, sauce packet bouquet and tacos, of course.

Taco Bell is also hosting a Love and Tacos contest. The winning couple will get “the ultimate Taco Bell Vegas Wedding,” which includes airfare for six, a professional wedding photographer, a private pool cabana at Planet Hollywood and lots of other goodies for the soon-to-be newlyweds.

With the average wedding in the United States ringing in at a whopping $32,641, it’s understandable that more couples are looking for ways to slash the costs of getting hitched.

Now, a Taco Bell wedding — even at just $600 — isn’t for everyone. If you’re a cost-conscious bride or groom, take heed: there are plenty of other ways to save money on your upcoming nuptials without having to walk down the Taco Bell wedding aisle.

For example, pick a naturally beautiful place — like a botanical garden or a beach — to say “I do.” That could save you big bucks on a location and decorations. Get that money-saving wedding tip and more in “15 Ways to Save Big on Your Dream Wedding.”
