Krispy Kreme is a celebrating an imaginary “doughnut harvest” with a not so fictitious freebie.
The chain will give away one Original Glazed doughnut to every customer on Friday, April 1 — no purchase necessary, no strings attached.
All you have to do to claim your freebie is show up at a participating location. However, we suggest calling your nearest Krispy Kreme to confirm it’s participating before you race over.
A company news release issued this week about this freebie makes no mention of Friday being April Fools’ Day, instead focusing on the “doughnut harvest” that Krispy Kreme will celebrate via Friday’s freebie:
This year’s doughnut harvest created a surplus of delicious treats, grown with care and picked off the vine at precisely the right moment.
Sorry, home gardeners: “Krispy Kreme Doughnut seeds are not for sale,” the news release adds.
