Google Play is giving music lovers a special offer that will have you grooving to your favorite new artist — or dancing to the tunes in the “La La Land” soundtrack — in no time.

Through Jan. 28, Google Play — the one-stop shop for Android apps, music, e-books, movies and more — is offering 50 percent off any music album.

Google Play can be accessed through the Play Store app on Android devices, although many of its features can also be viewed on laptops and non-Android phones.

Here’s what you need to score half-off an album purchase through Google Play:

  • You need a Google account. The offer can only be redeemed on Google Play from an internet-connected compatible device using a Google account.
  • You need a Google Payments account. In order to purchase music or other content on Google Play, you must have a Google Payments account. You can set one up here.

That’s it! After you have that set up, you can peruse the albums available through Google Play and pick which one you’d like to download at a 50 percent discount.

Where do you download your favorite tunes? Sound off below or on Facebook.
