This week in good deals: free and cheap food, office supplies, women’s underwear, and some decent gift ideas.
In celebration of Veterans Day (Nov. 11), vets and active military service members can pick up a free meal at Chili’s. On the special menu are cheeseburgers, quesadillas, pasta, and a few other options. Drinks aren’t included, and you’ll need some form of ID.
For everybody else out there, you can get free coffee every Friday morning this month from Burger King. They’ll give you a 12-ounce cup through the breakfast period, which ends at 10:30 a.m.
Quiznos also has a few nice coupons this week, including a buy-one-get-one-free deal, the free small sub deal we mentioned last week, and a few more to save a couple bucks.
If you’ve got a hankering for chocolate, Amazon.com has you covered. They’ve gotDove milk and dark chocolates for less than $4 per pound: you get 48 ounces for $11.63.
Staples is playing “dollar store” this week, with over a dozen office necessities for a buck. Check out the last few pages of the weekly Staples ad, and you’ll see what your dollar’s worth over there: printing and photo paper, erasers, Post-Its, storage boxes, envelopes, scissors, notebooks, staples, paperclips, and more. They’ve also got more deals at the $2 and $5 marks.
Ladies, don’t get your knickers in a knot, but Kohls.com has a lot of panties and bras on clearance. We spotted thongs under $2, hipsters under $4, and some bras under $10. Sizes are limited on the best deals and will probably sell out soon, though. You can save an extra 20 percent off your order with coupon code EXTRA20 at checkout. Shipping is normally $5.95, but you can get free shipping on orders over $75 with code SEVEN5, which is valid through Nov. 9.
Crafters should know that Michaels has a handful of coupons this week, including 50% off an item or 20% off an entire purchase. Expiration dates vary, so check the details.
Start your Christmas shopping yet? We’ve got our eye on a few deals this week. For the kids, Toys “R” Us is having a sale on board games. They’ve got over 25 games for under $10, and some classics like Candyland or Chutes and Ladders are only $3. Mail-in rebates are available for some games too, on top of these great prices.
Microsoft released its hands-free video game controller for the Xbox 360 last week, and if you’re planning on getting one, Amazon’s got a deal on all the Kinect-compatible games that came out with it. Now through Nov. 13, it’s buy one get one 50% off on Kinect games. Since they’re brand new and a guaranteed hot item for the holidays, they’re probably going to keep a $50 price tag for a while – so you can save at least $25 this way.
Lastly, for the sports lover in your circle of family and friends, Amazon.com has a bunch of overstocked merchandise on clearance. All the typical stuff like hats, shirts, and hoodies, plus weird collectibles like team-branded garden gnomes. See what they’ve got for your team with discounts in these sports groups:
