Chew on This: The Story Behind Your Hershey’s Halloween TreatsBusiness

This week's deals include camping gear, cheap pens, pearl necklaces, and car audio equipment. No foolin'.

This week in sales: name-brand clothing and makeup, outdoors gear and car electronics, and even pearls. While a lot of “discount” prices out there are a joke, we promise that none of these deals are fake. After all, we already had our April Fools’ fun.

First are freebies: Amazon debuted its “Cloud Drive” service last week, offering everyone 5 GB of free storage for your music, videos, and pictures, which you can access from any Internet-connected device. It doesn’t have to be content you purchase from Amazon, although if you buy an MP3 album you get bumped up to 20 GB for a year free. That’s not a bad deal in itself, since 20 GB/year usually costs $20 and there are thousands of popular MP3 albums under $4.

And here’s an edible freebie: a free waffle at Waffle House. The coupon doesn’t say “purchase necessary,” either, but that doesn’t mean the server won’t argue if you try.

If you’re looking for an everyday laptop, Dell’s 14-inch i3 Inspiron is available starting at $399 now. That prices includes 2 GB RAM and 250 GB of storage. Upgrades are available but not at great rates – $70 to bump it up to 3 GB or $115 to bump it up to 4 GB, with both including a storage upgrade as well.

Speaking of electronics, Amazon has expanded its subwoofer sale to include a wide range of car electronics and audio equipment at up to 75 percent off.

Always running out of pens? $2.30 for 24 BIC pens is a decent price from Staples. It was 72 for just over $4, but they killed that deal already – guess there’s a substantial pen deficit out there.

For Sephora lovers, there’s a lot on sale, including lip gloss, eyeliner, body wash, and more. You can get free shipping with coupon code s9lh082, and there are other beauty promotions going on as well.

Amazon has freshwater pearl necklaces up to 70 percent off too. The lengths run from 30 to 100 inches and prices go from $25 to $500.

Over at, North Face clothes and accessories are up to 55 percent off, although it’s not exactly a cheap brand to start with.

And finally for this week, Amazon has lots of outdoors gear more than 50 percent off, including sleeping bags, backpacks, and really weird canteens.

We would love to hear the great deals you’ve found too. Post them in the comments here or on our Facebook, or share them with @MoneyTalksNews followers on Twitter. And don’t forget to visit our deals page!
