We may be less than a week into February, but Home Depot isn’t wasting any time gearing up for spring — its busiest season. The nation’s largest home improvement retailer is looking to bring on 80,000 new workers to help staff its nearly 2,000 stores across the United States.
“There’s no better time to join our team than spring, whether you’re a college student, recent grad or a veteran hoping to build a career, a retiree who wants a fun job, or anyone who simply enjoys home improvement,” Tim Crow, the retailer’s executive vice president of human resources, said in a statement.
For the past decade, Home Depot has hired about 80,000 seasonal workers in the spring, CNN Money reports. Spokesman Stephen Holmes says about half of those workers stay on as permanent employees.
Home Depot is hiring for positions across all departments, including sales, cashiers, operations and lumber and garden workers. The retailer is also looking for workers for its distribution and fulfillment centers.
