Pizza Hut is hiring. The chain restaurant, part of Yum Brands, is looking to employ an additional 11,000 workers by Feb. 5 — Super Bowl Sunday.
Open positions include:
- General managers
- Delivery drivers
- Pizza makers
- Shift managers
- Servers
According to Fortune, Super Bowl weekend is typically Pizza Hut’s busiest weekend of the year. So the pizza chain, which currently employs about 120,000, is hoping to have many of its open positions filled by then as well as some new positions.
Kelly McCulloch, senior director of human resources at Pizza Hut, tells Fortune that the openings at the restaurant are permanent positions, not temporary. McCulloch says that employing more workers at its stores reflects “our commitment to delivering on a better customer experience.”
The new hires will also help Pizza Hut staff new store locations. The chain has plans to expand from 6,300 to 8,500 locations “within a few years,” says Fortune.

Pizza Hut offers its employees (and their families) discounted tuition at Excelsior College through its Life Unboxed EDU program, which provides a 50 percent tuition discount for undergraduate students and a 15 percent discount for graduate students. Excelsior is a nonprofit online school with more than 40 degree and certificate programs.
And maybe if you’re lucky, working for Pizza Hut will pay off in the form of a $558 tip, like it did for Pizza Hut waitress Krystal Kramer of Somerset County, Pennsylvania.
According to WJAC, Kramer was struggling financially after a flood left her apartment unlivable. A patron overheard her plight and left Kramer a $558 tip on a $41 bill. The generous gratuity helped Kramer get back on her feet and afford a new apartment.
