Attention K-Mart shoppers! You can get the same deal at Walmart.

According to this press release, Walmart will match the price on any identical product from any competitor. The offer starts on Thanksgiving day and runs through the weekend. Here’s something that sounded self serving – and actually a little scary – from the Walmart press release:

In addition, on Saturday, Nov. 27, “Santa’s helpers” will be on hand at many Walmart stores handing out free candy canes and helping kids with their toy wish lists.

“Helping kids with their toy wish lists?” This may be one situation where you’ve got to spend money to save money. Hire a sitter and leave the kids at home: that’s the strategy that may save you the most at Walmart this weekend.
