We recently ran a story called “10 Secret Strategies to Save Big Bucks at Amazon,” but I just uncovered what could be the 11th.

Intuit, maker of TurboTax, is potentially offering hundreds of dollars you can spend at Amazon. This deal will make sense for those getting a big federal tax refund, are doing their taxes with TurboTax, and don’t mind diverting a chunk of it into Amazon gifts cards.

Here’s the deal in a nutshell

If you’re willing to convert part of your tax refund into gift cards from Amazon, TurboTax will add 5 percent to it if you use their Basic or Federal Free products, 10 percent if you use their Deluxe, Premier, Home & Business, or Military editions.

The max they’ll give you in gift cards is $10,000.

  • TurboTax will give you an extra 10 percent on your gift card if you are using Deluxe, Premier, Home & Business or Military Edition.
