Here’s a reason to rise and shine on Wednesday morning: free coffee.

Sept. 29 is National Coffee Day, and several popular chains are observing the “holiday” by handing out free cups of joe, free coffee essentials or even free coffee for the year.

In some cases, the drink is truly free, but some offers may require a food purchase or rewards membership.

Note: Before heading out, consider calling ahead to confirm that locations in your area are participating in these offers.
