If you are a member of Amazon Prime, you can get a $10 credit to spend on Prime Day, which is July 11. All you have to do is sign into Amazon Video on your television and stream a movie or show that comes with your Prime membership. After doing so, you are eligible for the credit.

You will receive the credit on your account within three or four days. However, Amazon says it won’t be visible — instead, you will receive an email confirming the credit, which will be applied to your purchase and appear on your receipt. You can use the credit through Prime Day.

Sound like a great deal? Act fast, as this offer expires on Friday, July 7.

Each year, Chick-fil-A hosts Cow Appreciation Day, its biggest customer appreciation event. This year’s celebration is planned for July 11, and you can score a free breakfast, lunch or dinner entree, or a free kids meal.

There is a caveat: You’ll have to don at least one item of cow-themed apparel. The deal is available from opening until 7 p.m.

July is National Ice Cream Month, and you can expect ice cream shops across the nation to celebrate with free goodies.

For example, on July 14, Baskin-Robbins will offer free slices of its Mint Chocolate Chip Polar Pizza from noon to 5 p.m.

National Ice Cream Day itself falls on July 16. In past years, many ice cream shops have celebrated the big day by offering free ice cream.

Expect announcements from the shops as we get closer to the big day. Of course, Money Talks News will alert you with a roundup of locations as they become available.

Want to help your child find the right financial footing this summer? Point him or her toward a free $10 deposit in a bank account at TD Bank.

Children will have to earn their money, however: They must read 10 books by the end of summer. Then they’ll need to print — and fill out — a summer reading form and bring it into a TD Bank location. The bank will deposit $10 into a new or existing TD Simple Savings Account.

The offer is available to children in kindergarten through fifth grade and ends on Aug. 31.

Free coffee at Krispy Kreme and Wawa — throughout July

Many teachers are taking a well-deserved break during the summer. Krispy Kreme is thanking those teachers for their efforts to mold young minds by offering them free coffee with any regularly priced purchase throughout July.

Contact your local Krispy Kreme to make sure it’s participating. Then, show your school ID to get your cup of gratis joe.

If you’re not a teacher, don’t despair — you can still get a free cup of coffee every Wednesday in July at Wawa convenience stores when you join the Wawa Rewards program.

Free solar eclipse sunglasses at libraries nationwide — while supplies last

On Aug. 21, an epic solar eclipse will pass across a swath of the U.S., from the Northwest to Southeast. The event promises to be spectacular, but watching it without the right eyewear can lead to permanent eye damage and even blindness.

Fortunately, nearly 5,000 libraries across the nation are riding to the rescue by providing free specialized sunglasses that allow you to watch the eclipse safely. More than 2 million pairs of glasses will be available.

To find a participating library, stop by the STAR Net website.
