If you’re looking for a reason to ditch your cable subscription, but you love Showtime, this may be a good deal for you: Hulu is offering its members a subscription to Showtime for just $9 per month.

A subscription to Hulu costs $7.99 per month and includes on-demand streaming access to a number of hit TV shows and movies, as well as instant streaming for current-season episodes of shows like “Family Guy,” “Once Upon a Time,” “The Voice,” “Law & Order: SVU,” and many others.

Beginning in early July, Hulu subscribers will also gain access to premium television network Showtime, which features such hit shows as “Ray Donovan,” “Masters of Sex,” “Shameless,” “Homeland,” and “House of Lies.” Hulu says its customers can get up to 30 days of Showtime for free during a trial period, after which access to Showtime costs an additional $9 per month.

“Hulu subscribers will have unlimited on-demand access to every season of award-winning Showtime original series, as well as access to new episodes as they premiere, along with documentary and sports programming, and hundreds of hours of movies, all commercial-free, anywhere in the U.S.,” Hulu said in its announcement.

Apple, Sony and Roku will also offer a digital subscription to Showtime beginning in July, but at $11 per month, versus Hulu’s $9 offer, Re/code reports.

“What we’re basically figuring is that by adding these two services together, we think that consumers are entitled to a discount. We really wanted to be aggressive coming out of the gate,” Tim Connolly, who heads up distribution for Hulu, told Re/code. “We’re interested in selling Showtime, but we’re more interested in selling Showtime and Hulu together.”

Hulu has about 9 million subscribers.

This announcement from Hulu puts my family one step closer to ditching cable for good. HBO and Showtime are really the only reasons we’ve hung on for so long.
