Verizon is the latest phone company to announce a new offer designed to attract iPhone owners who are considering an upgrade.

The latest models, the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus, became available for pre-order over the weekend and will arrive in Apple stores Sept. 25, according to Apple’s iPhone website.

Yahoo Finance reports that Verizon is now offering a higher trade-in value of up to $400 for the following phones:

  • iPhone 4: $100
  • iPhone 4S: $100
  • iPhone 5: $200
  • iPhone 5C: $200
  • iPhone 5S: $300
  • iPhone 6: $350
  • iPhone 6 Plus: $400

These prices are the same regardless of the phone’s memory capacity. Unlike some of its smaller competitors, Verizon is not offering a leasing option. So customers can only apply the trade-in value to the purchase of a new iPhone, whether they pay in full or via monthly installments.

Apple is also seeking to better compete with cellphone carriers, Yahoo reports:

This year, Apple introduced its own installment and early upgrade plans to make it easier for customers to buy iPhones directly from the maker and skip buying from the carriers altogether. So the carriers are getting more creative competing not just with each other but also with Apple.

The news of Verizon’s new trade-in offer broke around the same time that two of the carrier’s competitors announced new iPhone-related offers.

Sprint announced Friday that new and existing customers can get the iPhone 6S or iPhone 6S Plus for as little as $15 per month. That price includes a yearly phone upgrade as part of Sprint’s iPhone Forever program.

On Thursday, T-Mobile announced its new pricing for the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus, which is as low as $18.
