It’s that time of year: Disney just announced its free dining dates for 2016, Travel & Leisure reports:

Every year, a select number of dates are chosen where visitors can dine at the famous amusement park for no additional cost.

The freebie is what Disney calls a “dining plan,” which is good for two meals and one snack per person, per night of your stay.

The free dining plan is available with the purchase of a nondiscounted five-night/six-day package that includes a room at select Disney Resort hotels and a theme park ticket with the “Park Hopper” or “Water Park Fun & More” option. (Visit the “Disney Dining Plans” web page for more details about the plans.)

Disney reports that the free dining plan is available for arrivals most nights during the following time periods:

  • Aug. 23 through Oct. 1
  • Nov. 15 through Nov. 21
  • Nov. 26 through Nov. 28
  • Dec. 10 through Dec. 21

If you’re considering purchasing a package with a free dining plan, don’t wait too long. Disney notes it has set aside a “limited” number of rooms for the freebie, and packages must be booked by July 8 to qualify for a free dining meal.
