Deoleo has agreed to a preliminary settlement to resolve a class action lawsuit concerning the labeling of several of their Bertolli olive oil products. The lawsuit contends that these were falsely marked "Imported from Italy" and "Extra Virgin". The following claims are applicable for purchasers:
Up to $8.75 per product purchased of Bertolli Extra Virgin Olive Oil between May 23, 2010 and December 31, 2015
Up to $3.75 per product purchased of Bertolli Extra Virgin Olive Oil between January 1, 2016 and April 16, 2018
These sums, alongside stated minimum payments, are subject to change, dependent on the number of claims made. Without proof of purchase, you can make a claim of up to five products per household (with a maximum of $25 per household) or, with proof of purchase, an unlimited amount.
