As a result of a class action settlement, cusomers who purchased products containing lithium-ion cylindrical batteries (such as portable computers, power tools, camcorders, and more) may be entitled to cash compensation. The suit alleges that LG Chem, Hitachi, and NEC fixed the price of battery cells. Affected consumers are those that purchased eligible products from 2000 to May 31, 2011.
