Turn your kiddo into a bibliophile — that means “book lover,” folks — by having him or her participate in the Barnes & Noble Summer Reading Program.

Children in grades one through six are asked to read eight books over the summer and to use a Summer Reading Journal from Barnes & Noble to write about their favorite part of each book.

Once the journal is complete, your child can bring it to a Barnes & Noble store any time between May 16 and Sept. 5 to collect a free book from the list of choices on the back of the journal.
