Frequent fliers with Delta Air Lines can now rack up free award miles by traveling by car via Lyft.

According to a press release, Delta and the ride-sharing company have teamed up to give SkyMiles members a new way to earn free miles.

If you’re a SkyMiles member, link your Lyft account to your SkyMiles account and you’ll start earning one mile for every dollar you spend through Lyft.

For a limited time, SkyMiles members will earn three miles per $1 they spend on Lyft when traveling to and from the airport. If you’re new to Lyft, you also qualify for two $10 ride credits from the ride-sharing company.

According to The New York Times, Delta says its frequent fliers prefer Lyft to Uber. Sandeep Dube, Delta’s vice president of customer engagement and loyalty, says in a statement:

“We’re thinking about our customers’ whole travel experience and it’s important that Delta customers are taken care of not just in the air, but on the ground. … We’re excited we’ve found a good fit with Lyft.”

Delta teamed up with Airbnb in a similar partnership last fall. The airline offers award miles for every dollar its SkyMiles members spend on Airbnb, as long as the lodging plans are booked through a special page on Delta’s website, says the Times.
