If you are tired of paying a big bill for cable — or are just looking for another streaming TV service to subscribe to — you will soon have another option.

AT&T is launching a new streaming TV service called “WatchTV.” It will be available as a stand-alone service for $15 a month.

WatchTV is the first of multiple new offers that AT&T will debut in the wake of its recent merger with Time Warner, according to the telecommunications company.

WatchTV will come with live access to more than 30 channels, as well as on-demand access to more than 15,000 TV shows and movies.

This is the current channel lineup:

Folks will be able to watch WatchTV via:

  • The WatchTV app
  • Certain browsers
  • Certain streaming devices

More details about how to order WatchTV as a stand-alone service for $15 a month “are coming soon,” according to AT&T’s June 21 announcement.

New wireless plans

AT&T reports that it will also offer WatchTV at no added cost to folks who sign up for either of two new unlimited wireless plans that are scheduled to launch this week.

The more expansive of these two plans is called “AT&T Unlimited &More Premium” and will include:

  • Option to add WatchTV (at no additional cost)
  • Option to add one of several premium services — which include HBO, Cinemax, Showtime, Starz, Amazon Music Unlimited, Pandora Premium and VRV (at no additional cost)
  • $15 monthly credit toward DirecTV, DirecTV Now and U-verse TV
  • 15GB of high-speed tethering
  • High-quality video

The other new plan, called “AT&T Unlimited &More,” will include:

  • Option to add WatchTV (at no additional cost)
  • $15 monthly credit toward DirecTV NOW
  • Up to 4G LTE unlimited data

As for how much these plans will cost in total, AT&T has yet to specify. But once the plans launch, more information about them will be available on AT&T’s unlimited data plans webpage.
