Free streaming opera — through April 5

The Metropolitan Opera has canceled its upcoming performances due to the coronavirus, but that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy a little complimentary culture from the comfort of your couch.

The opera is now streaming “encore presentations from the award-winning Live in HD series of cinema transmissions on the company website for the duration of the closure.”

Free programming for kids, adults — ongoing

Amazon is offering a slew of free programming for kids at its website. Available titles begin at preschool age and also include family fare.

Over at PBS, you can download the app and watch thousands of programs for free.

And then there’s “10 Streaming TV Services Offering Free 30-Day Trials Right Now.”

Free YouTube Premium for T-Mobile customers — through April 21

Exciting news for T-Mobile customers: You can enjoy two free months of YouTube Premium, which allows you to stream and download your favorite music and videos, ad-free.

The telecommunications company is also offering its subscribers a complimentary four-week educational course through Shaw Academy.” Get details.

Free in-home workouts — ongoing

Even though its locations are temporarily closed, Planet Fitness wants to keep members moving. The fitness giant is encouraging folks to download the Planet Fitness app to access “more than 500 exercises designed for people of all fitness levels” and to join Facebook Live for daily workouts at 7 p.m. ET.

Meanwhile, Orangetheory At Home also is offering free workouts from home at its website. Each day, Orangetheory posts a new 30-minute routine.
