If you love shopping this incredible store, we’ve got tips to cut your costs. Following are eight ways to save at Crate & Barrel.
1. Shop through a cash-back website
Cash-back websites enable you to earn cash back when you shop at specific retailers through their links.
When you make a purchase, you’ll be rewarded with a predetermined amount of cash back. For example, Ebates and Swagbucks Shop recently were offering 1 percent cash back on Crate & Barrel online purchases, and TopCashback was offering 2 percent cash back on online purchases.
Ebates was also offering 1 percent cash back on in-store purchases.
2. Get a Crate & Barrel credit card
Many retailers offer price breaks to shoppers who carry the store’s credit card, and Crate & Barrel is no exception. Sign up for the Crate & Barrel card, and you can get 10 percent back in rewards dollars. You can redeem rewards at both Crate & Barrel and sister retailer CB2.
You’ll also get access to special offers and events.
Of course, store credit cards are not for everyone. For example, if you cannot pay off the balance in full each month, you could easily rack up more in interest charges than you earn in rewards, negating that card benefit.

3. Use a discounted gift card
Before shopping at Crate & Barrel, check out a discounted gift card marketplace and pick up a Crate & Barrel gift card for less than its face value. You will effectively save money on everything you buy with that gift card.
Recently, we saw them for as much as 11.5 percent off at Cardpool.com and 8.1 percent off at Raise.com.
Also check out a comparison website called Gift Card Granny. It will tell you which discounted gift card marketplace is selling a certain retailer’s gift cards for the lowest price at any given time.
4. Sign up for emails
Give your email address to Crate & Barrel, and you’ll receive a promo code for 10 percent off. Does saving get any easier than that?
To sign up, scroll down to the bottom of Crate & Barrel’s home page and look for where it says “Save 10% today when you sign up to receive emails.” Then, enter your email address in the white box.
5. Shop the clearance page
Stop by the Crate & Barrel website and head right to the clearance page. There, you will find deals on everything from furniture to kitchen items and much more.
Recently, we saw clearance discounts of up to 50 percent or more.
6. Check the ‘All Free Shipping’ section
Some items sold by Crate & Barrel — from inexpensive accessories to large furniture — qualify for free shipping.
To find them, stop by the retailer’s “All Free Shipping” page and browse to your heart’s content.
7. Check for discounts
When shopping the Crate & Barrel website, be sure to stop by the “Coupons, Discounts and Promo Codes” page to see if the retailer is offering special deals. It only takes a minute, and you could score some super savings.
8. Create a gift registry
If wedding bells or other special occasions are in your future, consider creating a gift registry at Crate & Barrel. Any purchase of $99 or more qualifies for free shipping. Even better, you will enjoy 10 percent off any registry items that you purchase in the six months after the event.
