Following are eight great freebies you can get in December.

Free coffee at select Dunkin’ Donuts locations — through Dec. 20

Each weekday from Dec. 1 to Dec. 20, at least one Dunkin’ Donuts location in the U.S. will offer up to 500 free medium-sized cups of coffee. Check out the corporate website for a list of participating locations.

Free holiday magnet and photo at Target — Dec. 2-3

Stop by Target stores on the weekend of Dec. 2-3, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and you can get your picture taken at the photo booth located in the Wondershop at the back of the store. In addition, you’ll get a free keepsake holiday magnet frame.

Free hot fudge cake at Shoney’s — Dec. 7

In what has become an annual tradition, Shoney’s restaurant will offer patrons a free slice of hot fudge cake on Dec. 7. Shoney’s has locations in 17 states.

Free pet photo with Santa at PetSmart — Dec. 9-10 and Dec. 16-17

Bring your favorite furry friend to PetSmart on the weekends of Dec. 9-10 and Dec. 16-17, and you can get a free photo of your pet and the entire family with Santa.

Free $5 Amazon gift card — through Dec. 21

Free shipping at retailers — Dec. 15

Shoppers who wait until Dec. 15 to make their holiday purchases will be rewarded with free shipping. On Free Shipping Day, 125 retailers will offer gratis delivery with no minimum purchase required.

Free $25 Petco gift card — ongoing

Download the new Heads & Tails app — available for iPhone only — from Petco. Then, take a selfie with your pet and upload it to the app and share with friends.

When your picture gets 100 “likes” from friends before the end of the month, you collect a $25 Petco gift card. In addition, Petco will donate $25 to the Petco Foundation in your name.

Free rides on Uber and Lyft — through Dec. 31

Holiday season is the time we often indulge in one too many spirits. If you need a ride home after a night of holiday mirth, you can get a $15 credit toward your first ride on Uber. Just sign up and use the promo code HITTHEROAD.

Lyft has teamed with Budweiser to offer free or discounted rides to people on the weekends. Head to the Budweiser Facebook or Instagram page on Thursdays at 2 p.m. to claim a code that will give you a $20 ride credit — $10 each way. The offer is good in nine states and the District of Columbia.
