Free workshop for kids at JCPenney — March 14

Plus, if they complete six projects, they’ll earn a Project Master Medallion. And did we mention that parents will receive a 10% off coupon to use in-store that day? Learn more.
Free pie at Village Inn and Bakers Square — Wednesdays
Times vary by location, but you’ll always have a choice of classic fruit or featured pie.
More free pie and discounted pizza — March 14
Each year, a slew of restaurants offer freebies and discounted fare on “National Pi Day,” March 14.
Why on that day? Because the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter — which is roughly 3.14 — is known as “pi,” and is celebrated on the 14th day of the third month of the year, or 3/14.
Some Pi Day discounts are for pizzas. In most of those cases, you will pay $3.14 for your pizza pie. But other deals are freebies, usually for “pie,” the fruit-filled treat.
Money Talks News will let you know about this year’s deals when they are announced.
Free treats to celebrate spring — March 20
If you have spent a long, cold winter waiting for spring, hang in there. As the Beatles sang, “Here Comes the Sun”! The first day of spring this year is March 20, and it is likely that at least a couple of freebies will blossom that day.
Keep an eye on Money Talks News for details on 2020 deals as they emerge.
