The first Friday of June — June 7, this year — is National Doughnut Day, with a hole lot of sweet freebies.

Participating chains don’t typically announce plans until very near the date, but it’s likely many from last year’s freebie deals will be involved again.

A couple of examples from 2018:

  • Dunkin’ (known until recently as Dunkin’ Donuts) gave a free classic doughnut with a beverage purchase.
  • Krispy Kreme offered a free doughnut with no purchase required.
