More items were sold on Amazon this Cyber Monday than on any other day.

The e-commerce giant has confirmed that Nov. 27 set a new sales record, surpassing Prime Day 2017 to become “the single biggest shopping day worldwide in the company’s history.”

The company has not divulged how many items were sold that day, but notes that hundreds of millions of products were sold from Thanksgiving through Cyber Monday.

Amazon may not be revealing numbers, but the company has identified a few products that sold like crazy on that record-setting shopping day. And some remain on sale.

Let’s take a closer look.

1. Amazon Echo Dot

This voice-controlled smart speaker — a smaller and less expensive version of Amazon's better-known Echo device — was the single best-selling product worldwide on Amazon on Cyber Monday.

As of Thursday morning, the Echo Dot was still on sale for $29.99. That reflects a 40 percent discount off the retail price, and is Amazon’s lowest price ever for the Echo Dot.

The Echo Dot comes with Alexa, which is what’s known as an intelligent personal assistant — just like Apple’s Siri.

Amazon describes Alexa as the “brain” behind all of its similarly enabled devices. The company continues:

“Using Alexa is as simple as asking a question — just ask, and Alexa will respond instantly. Alexa lives in the cloud so it’s always getting smarter, and updates are delivered to your devices automatically.”

In other words, you don’t have to lift a finger to use the Echo Dot or other Alexa-enabled devices.

Alexa can even tell you your bank or credit card balance and make phone calls for you now.

2. Fire TV Stick with Alexa Voice Remote

This Alexa-enabled duo was also among the best-selling products by any manufacturer in any category on Amazon Monday.

It’s out of stock until Dec. 4, but you can still order it. As of Thursday morning, the Fire TV Stick with Alexa Voice Remote was selling for $39.99, the retail price, but you can nab it and an Echo Dot packaged together for $59.98.

The Fire TV Stick is a digital media player. But instead of simply sitting on or next to your TV as many media players do, it can be plugged into any TV’s HDMI port. That will enable the TV to connect to Wi-Fi so you can stream video content from the internet — think Netflix, Hulu and such — right to your TV.

The remote control is an Alexa Voice Remote, so you have the option to control the media player with your voice instead of your fingers.

3. AncestryDNA

This genetic testing kit was also among the top-selling products on Amazon Monday. The company behind it, Ancestry, says seven times as many kits were sold on Cyber Monday than during the entire holiday period last year.

Ancestry is the same company behind Ancestry.com, which offers resources that help folks trace their family history. Ancestry.com gift memberships are available — and on sale for 20 percent off — as of Thursday morning.

The AncestryDNA kit takes tracing family lineage to a new level — the molecular level. The result is a report on your ethnicity that’s based on an analysis of your DNA.

The kit sold on Amazon comprises:

  • Instructions
  • A saliva collection tube with an activation code
  • A pre-paid return mailer

Once you send off your DNA sample, Ancestry says it is “analyzed against hundreds of thousands of genetic markers for a personalized report on your ethnicity.”
