5 Money Related Gifts For Kids
Most Christmas gifts for kids will be broken, forgotten or both within weeks of the holidays. But the gift of knowledge can last a lifetime. Today Money Talks has some suggestions if you're interested in buying your kids gifts that pay.

Toys…lots of fun, but many may not hold’s a kid’s interest for long, and some may not even last longer than the batteries inside. Wouldn’t it be nice to give a gift that lasts a lifetime? You can if you consider stuffing that stocking with some knowledge about money.
Maybe a book that teaches: This one’s called Alexander, Who Used to Be Rich Last Sunday. It’s for 4 to 8 year olds and costs about $7.
Or a game: Maybe Monopoly, or Payday: You can find either in different versions 13 dollars and up. These are suitable for pre-teens and older
Or things that encourage saving: Like this laser-beam safe. It’s $25. Or this nifty ATM, that let’s you deposit, withdraw and has it’s own ATM card: It’s $50. Or even a simple jar that counts coins: it’s only $19.
Here’s a toy that’s supposed to teach toddlers to grocery-shop like mom and dad. It’s $40.
And then there are the classic gifts: a share or two of stock… Disney’s on sale these days. Or how about a contribution to a 529 college savings plan or IRA? Again, something you can do for as little as $25. So think about a gift that gives knowledge.
