With a list price of $188, a three-bedroom, one-bath house in Flint, Mich., appears to be the cheapest house on the real estate market in the U.S.

According to 24/7 Wall St., the 1,225-square-foot house was built in 1928. But the charm often associated with older homes doesn’t seem to be a selling point for this Flint house.

“Fixer Upper Home, Needs lots of work, has major fire damage, seller selling AS IS,” the listing says.

24/7 Wall St. said the economy in Flint is broken, and dirt-cheap housing is prevalent.

Flint, Mich., was one of the hardest hit cities before and during the recession. Once one of the state’s largest cities, and a prosperous one when auto production plants were there, it came under the control of an emergency manager, appointed by the governor, during two periods, long before Detroit did.

If you think it’s inconceivable that a house could sell for $188, the price tag on America’s most expensive house listing will also likely leave you stunned.

A Beverly Hills, Calif., estate recently hit the market with a jaw-dropping listing price of $195 million. The 53,000-square-foot Palazzo di Amore, or Palace of Love, has 12 bedrooms, 23 bathrooms, a 27-car garage and its own vineyard, according to CNN Money.

The Palazzo di Amore was made for entertaining. Not only can it accommodate 1,000 guests, but it also boasts a 50-seat theater, a bowling alley and a game room. There’s also space to host a seated dinner for 250 guests.

Wow.

The estate also features a guest house, a ballroom with DJ booth and revolving dance floor, a wine cellar and tasting room, formal gardens, a spa and a 128-foot-long reflecting pool.

The giant chasm dividing America’s rich and poor is glaringly evident when you compare a $188 Michigan house with its $195 million counterpart.
