I subscribe to the promotional emails of hundreds of companies so you don’t have to. I sift through 1,000 deal-touting emails every week. Most are worthless. But some offer valuable coupons, promo codes, sales, and freebies – which I collect and organize here and on our deals page.

  • Albums: More than 500 downloadable MP3 albums are $3 each at Amazon.com [expiration unknown].

Food

  • Chili’s Grill & Bar: Free appetizer with the purchase of an entree (print first) [5/23].

Home goods

  • Beach towels (for kids and adults): Additional 20 percent off at Kohl’s online (use code SUMMER20) [5/24]. They’re already up to 66 percent off, so you could save up to 86 percent. There are about two dozen adult styles to pick from – including 6-foot-long oversized ones – and some really adorable kids styles.
  • Patio furniture and accessories: Up to 50 percent off at Home Depot online [expiration unknown].
  • Patio furniture and accessories: Up to 35 percent off at Target online [5/26].
  • Mattress sets: Serta Ridgemore Plush Eurotop mattress-and-box-spring sets start at $400 at Sam’s Club stores and online [expiration unknown].

Health and beauty

  • Sunscreen: $2 off all Aveeno and Neutrogena products at Walgreens online [expiration unknown]. Shipping is free if you spend $25-plus. For these big brand names, this is a great discount – just be sure to read 10 Tips – and New FDA Rules – to Save Your Skin before buying any sunscreen.
  • Makeup (NYC brand): 40 percent off all products at Rite-Aide stores [5/26].

Toys

  • Water toys: Additional 20 percent off water guns, pool inflatables, and dozens of other water toys at Kohl’s online (use code SUMMER20) [5/24].
  • American Girl: Up to 50 percent off dolls, doll clothing, and other doll accessories online [expiration unknown]. This beloved but pricey brand rarely goes on sale, so these are great discounts.
  • FAO Schwarz: Up to 50 percent off select baby toys, kids toys, stuffed animals, games, and puzzles online [5/24].

Clothing, shoes, and accessories

  • Free Hello Kitty tote bag: With a $75-plus purchase at Sanrio.com (use code FREEPINKTOTE) [expiration unknown – but these freebies always go quickly].
  • The Limited (for her): Five coupons worth 40 to 50 percent off in stores (print first) [5/24]. You can even redeem multiple coupons at once, which is rare.
