Wednesday’s Deals: Makeup, Contact Lenses, First Aid, and Free Moisturizer

Every week, I study 1,000 deal-touting emails from major companies. Most aren’t worth your time, but a handful offer worthwhile coupons, codes, and sales – those are the ones I collect for you here and display in a deal-seeker-friendly format.

Beauty products

Face moisturizer: Free deluxe sample of Bare Escentuals bareMinerals Purely Nourishing Moisturizer for combination skin from Sephora locations that are based in JCPenney stores (printable coupon) [7/25 “or while supplies last”]. Unlike the samples Sephora.com often gives away, this is a truly free freebie: You don’t have to buy anything or cough up any personal information to get it. You can read more about the product here.

RoC: 20 percent off 21 select RoC beauty products at Amazon.com (promo code ROCSJULY) [7/31]. That’s 20 percent off Amazon’s prices, which are already up to 50 percent off the retail price of these products, so you stand to save up to 70 percent total.

Ulta Beauty: Select hair care products are buy-one-get-one-half-off and liters of Ulta’s own hair care product are 47 percent off during the Biggest Haircare Event sale in stores and online [expiration unknown]. If you plan to spend $10-plus, be sure to use the coupon below. If you plan to spend $50-plus, buy online because you’ll get free shipping and three free samples.

Ulta Beauty: $3.50 off a $10-plus purchase in stores (printable coupon) or online (coupon code 68844) [7/23]. This coupon is worth up to 35 percent off, but you can save more than that if you shop smart because the fine print says you can use it on sale and clearance items, not just full-price items.

Victoria’s Secret: VS Fantasies body care products are 5 for $30 or 3 for $25 online [expiration unknown]. They normally go for $10-12 each – so you could save up to 50 percent – and include body lotion, body and hand cream, body butter, body wash, and fragrance mist in nearly a dozen different scents. The Beauty Rush body and hair care products and Beauty Rush makeup are also on sale online, though not at quite as steep of a discount.

Lancome: If you happen to be in need of $45-plus of Lancome makeup or body care products, you’ve got great timing. Spend that much online and they’ll throw in free shipping and five free deluxe-size samples of their top products, which they say are worth about $100 (promo code DELUXEJULY) [7/7].

Contact lenses

15 percent off all contact lens orders at Walgreens online (promo code 15OFF) [7/16]. Your lenses will also ship for free, as will any general merchandise or contact lens solutions or accessories that weigh less than 10 pounds and are bought at the same time as your lenses.

Supplements

Thousands of vitamin, herb, and diet products are buy-one-get-one-half-off at General Nutrition Centers (GNC) online [7/31].

First aid

55 cents off Nexcare first aid tapes (printable coupon) [12/31].

$1 off Nexcare dressings (printable coupon) [12/31].

Fitness

Up to 70 percent off select SPRI-brand exercise bands, balls, weights, and more at Amazon.com [7/16].

Comments & discussion

We welcome your opinions, but let’s keep it civil. Like many businesses, we reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. In our case, that means those who communicate by name-calling, racism, using words designed to hurt others or generally acting like an uninformed bully. Also, comments that include links to email addresses or commercial websites typically aren't posted. This isn't a place to advertise your business.
