Wednesday Deals: Wedding Rings, Transformers, Projectors, and Free Huggies

By on

Variety seems to be the flavor of the day. From fragrances to printers to Star Wars cooking utensils, we’ve got a variety of deals to pick from. Just don’t delay because some of the best ones end today, May 18.

Food

Five great bargains to share: At Popeyes Chicken, buy a three piece dinner, and get a two piece dinner free. The other four deals are coupons for Soup Plantation and Sweet Tomatoes. [5/19].

Clothing, shoes, accessories, and jewelry

Swimwear: In stores, swimwear is 30 percent off at Stein Mart. Online, its 40 percent off at Kmart and ships for free if you pick your swimsuit up at your local store. We’re not sure when either of these sales end, though.

Summer-wear: Would you believe tees, tanks, and shorts are 5 for $20 at WetSeal.com? Check em out soon, because it’s not clear how long this sale will last either. Men’s and women’s shorts that usually go for $40-65 now start at $25 at Gap [5/19]. This appears to be an online-only deal – call your local Gap to find out if it’s available there – but shipping is free for orders over $50. Lastly, take an extra 20 percent off VictoriasSecret.com’s clearance clothing with code SPRING20 [5/18].

Jewelry: Zales’ semi-annual bridal sale is going on, which means engagement, wedding, and anniversary rocks are up to 30 percent off, both online and in stores [5/25].

Body care and makeup

None of the bargains in this category have expiration dates, so if you’re interested, save sooner than later.

Let’s start off with something completely free: Cottonelle is giving away a free full-size container of flushable wipes with dispenser. For something even better smelling, over 100 perfume and cologne products are up to 90 percent off at Perfumania.com‘s clearance sale.

Elsewhere on the Internet, the new OFF! Clip-On Mosquito Repellent is buy-one-get-one-free, and all Neutrogena suncare products are $2 off and ship for free if you spend more than $25.

At Ulta.com, all Ulta Beauty brand products are buy-two-get-two-free. These include dozens of hair, body, and nail care products plus makeup and makeup utensils – and it’s a mix-and-match deal, which means you don’t have to buy multiples of the same exact item to take advantage.

Electronics and media

Staples’ week-long Daily Deals Event is underway – and today’s deal is a $200 all-in-one Canon printer for $80 [5/18]. These deals are available in stores, but they say prices may vary from what you see online.

At CircuitCity.com, you can score a 32-inch LCD HDTV for $230 with code SMA30562, which saves an extra $20, or a 51-inch Samsung plasma HDTV for $650 with code FNU30610, which saves an extra $70 [5/18].

For an even bigger screen, try a projector – for $100′s less than that plasma and many LCD TVs – at TigerDirect.com [5/18]. Now that summer’s here, if you tack a white bed sheet up to an exterior wall of your house and add an extension cord, lawn chairs, and popcorn, you’ve got movie night for the whole neighborhood in your own backyard. (Guys, it may help to talk your significant other into the purchase if you remind her that outdoor get-togethers mean the house stays clean.)

Et cetera

We dedicate this category to the guys – and the women and kids who know that Fathers Day is next month:

Like them on Facebook for a $5 coupon from True Value, and visit Williams-Sonoma.com to save at least 25 percent on select Star Wars kitchen gear while both deals last.

For kids and nostalgic adults, ToysRUs.com’s collection of Transformers 3 autobots arrived this week. To celebrate, they’re giving out a free Transformers 3 limited edition figure with 3D glasses when you spend $25 on Transformers toys [5/21]. The freebie will automatically add itself to your online cart once you’ve amassed enough Transformers items.

For just about anything else, just about everything is 5 to 50 percent off at Kmart.com‘s Two Days of Deals sale [5/18]. Again, this is an online-only deal, but shipping is free to your local store.

And to wrap things up, three random free samples:

Don’t forget: There’s a coupon search engine and 24/7 deals on our Deals page.

As someone who regularly uses printable coupons or “Printapons” I think that the show Extreme couponing was not a true reading of how the regular shopper uses coupons. It appears to have been frightening to someone who does not use coupons at all
