If you do a lot of shipping — particularly if you run a small business from your home — UPS has an incredible deal for you! For the entire year, you can get free UPS Smart Pickup service. This service uses technology to automatically arrange pickup of packages when you have something to ship. According to UPS:

When you process a shipment using WorldShip®, UPS Internet Shipping or UPS CampusShip®, the system automatically notifies a UPS driver to make a UPS Smart Pickup that same day to pick up all prepared packages.

You also get 20 percent off domestic air and international shipments and 10 percent off UPS ground shipments.

Normally, the service costs a flat rate of $11.50 per week. But you can get a year on the house.

Winter is the time for hardy eating. You need energy to shovel snow or ski down slopes. Or perhaps you just want to pack on a couple of extra pounds of insulation as the temperature plunges.

Carl’s Jr. is helping to satisfy that winter appetite by offering a buy-one, get-one deal on its Budweiser Beer Cheese Bacon Burger. Hmmmm. This delicious offer is good through Jan. 15.

If your income is above $64,000, you qualify for free fillable forms. These will be available on Jan. 23. Although these forms help you do the math, you must know how to do your own taxes, and state forms are not available.
