You can make 2018 just a little more lucrative by opening a checking account with one of several banks offering bonuses ranging from $300 to $500.

With each of these offers, it’s important to read the fine print. For example, some offers may be available in some states, but not others.

Also, fair warning: All of these accounts require you to maintain a minimum level of deposits in your account if you wish to avoid service fees. These minimum amounts can range from a few thousand dollars to $15,000, depending on the account.

So, if you don’t have a lot of extra cash burning a hole in your pocket, these options might not be right for you.

With those caveats in mind, here are four banks offering a nice financial perk when you open an account with them today.

SunTrust

Through April 30, SunTrust is offering a bonus of up to $750 when you open an Advantage Checking account.

To qualify, you must deposit at least $100 within 14 days of opening the account, and complete qualifying direct deposits of at least $3,000 within 60 days of opening the account. You also must make at least 10 debit card purchases within 60 days.

You will earn a bonus of:

  • $250 for opening an Advantage Checking account
  • $500 for opening an Advantage Checking account and bringing in a total of $25,000 in new balances within 30 days and maintaining those balances for at least 90 days.
  • $750 for opening an Advantage Checking account and bringing in a total of $100,000 in new balances within 30 days and maintaining those balances for at least 90 days.

Monthly maintenance fees apply to Advantage Checking accounts unless you meet certain requirements. For more information, visit SunTrust’s website.

TD Bank

TD Bank is offering $300 to anyone who opens a TD Premier Checking account. To qualify for the bonus, you must receive at least $2,500 in qualifying direct deposits within the first 60 days of opening your account.

Another option is to earn $150 for opening a TD Convenience Checking account when you receive at least $500 in qualifying direct deposits within 60 days of opening your account.

No expiration date is listed for the offer, although each is billed as a “limited time offer.” Monthly maintenance fees apply to both accounts unless you meet certain requirements. For more information, visit TD Bank’s website.

Chase

Through April 15, Chase is offering a $300 bonus when you open a Chase Premier Checking Plus account with an initial $25 deposit and receive a qualifying direct deposit within 60 days.

Or, if you prefer, you can instead open a Chase Total Checking account and earn $200, or a Chase Savings account to earn $150.

Monthly maintenance fees apply to both accounts unless you meet certain requirements. Find out more at the Chase website links above.

PNC Bank

Through May 31, PNC Bank is offering a $300 bonus when you open either of the following accounts:

  • Performance Select Checking
  • Virtual Wallet with Performance Select

In both cases, you qualify after establishing qualifying direct deposits of $5,000, plus making 10 debit card purchases.

Or if you prefer, get $200 by opening these accounts:

  • Performance Checking
  • Virtual Wallet with Performance Spend

In both cases, you qualify after establishing qualifying direct deposits of $2,000, plus making 10 debit card purchases.

Monthly maintenance fees are waived when you make the qualifying direct deposits.
