It turns out there are some very good reasons for your feline’s eccentric ways. For as long as cats have been around, they have been both hunters of smaller animals — think mice — and prey for larger predators.

Over millions of years, cats have evolved to perform certain behaviors that might seem a little odd in your home, but would be perfectly natural in the wild.
